TDOT’s ‘Nobody Trashes TN’ encourages residents to participate in ‘Great American Cleanup’
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Tennessee Department of Transportation’s ‘Nobody Trashes Tennessee‘ campaign encourages residents do their part to keep roadways and waterways clean, safe and litter-free.

Keep America Beautiful’s ‘Great American Cleanup‘ is the nation’s largest community improvement program.

There are cleanup events statewide and residents may also coordinate their own community cleanups.

All participants in litter prevention may be rewarded with TDOT’s Trash Masters Rewards program.
Earn points for activities like taking a litter quiz or attending cleanup events. Rewards include discounts at local businesses and exclusive swag.
“It’s the kick off of spring, it’s the kick off of some beautiful weather and we just, it’s a good time to remind folks not to litter. It’s a good time to remind folks to keep your trash picked up,” said Nichole Lawrence, TDOT regional communications officer.
Everyone is encouraged to pick up litter when you see it or take a litter bag along when walking, hiking, hunting, or fishing.
