Early morning crash in Henry County claims life of pedestrian
PRESS RELEASE FROM THE PARIS POLICE DEPARTMENT:
PARIS, Tenn. — A Henry County woman has died as a result of injuries she sustained after being struck by a van Monday morning.
The victim was crossing the road at the marked and lighted crosswalk located on the south end of Hospital Circle near Henry County Medical Center. Paris Police and Henry County Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene, and the victim was taken to the Henry County Medical Center Emergency Room as soon as possible. An attempt was made to transport the victim by helicopter to a trauma center, but ultimately, she was pronounced deceased.
The Paris Police Department is reviewing evidence and investigating the crash at this time and will provide updates when available.
