Property Committee approves funding for Beech Bluff demolition project

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Madison County Property Committee met Tuesday to address a variety of issues.

One of the topics included working toward finalization of plans for the Beech Bluff demolition project.

Due to asbestos, the county needs to demolish the unoccupied portion of the building on the property.

The committee approved spending up to $6,000 for the project.

The asbestos report is expected to be finalized in two weeks.

Once the project is fully approved and demolition begins, the park will be closed to the public for approximately four months.
