Doris Evelyn Cupples Webb
She was born on June 18, 1931 in Bemis, Tennessee. She graduated from Malesus High School. Doris retired from JC Penney in 1993. Her quick wit and positivity were a bright spot in the day for her co-workers. She was an encouraging person and loved her family and friends. Doris always had a smile and a welcoming demeanor. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, coloring books (she was amazing at this), sudoku and dominoes with her children and nieces and nephew. Everybody loved “Aunt Doris.”
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Lloyd Webb; her son, John Maddox Webb; her parents, Buford Mahu “Shorty” Cupples and Mary Edna Scott Cupples.; and her siblings, Dorothy Benson, Dianne McCabe, Buddy Cupples and Larry Englet.
She is survived by her children, Elaine Webb Lobato (Joe), Connie Webb Ledbetter (Johnny), Cindy Webb McCann (Sarge), Mary Webb Bettie (David), and Lloyd Webb. She was blessed with ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, with another great great grandchild expected in June. Her legacy of love and strength will live on through each of them.
A service to celebrate the life of Doris Webb will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons, with burial to follow at Parkburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Doris will be remembered for the love she shared, the wisdom she imparted, and the strength she carried through life’s joys and challenges. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is reunited with those who went before her, and her spirit will forever remain in their hearts.
