Jackson Symphony presents sensory-friendly experience
JACKSON, Tenn. — A free children’s breakfast was held Friday morning at ‘The Unicorn’s Birthday’ event.
The fun-filled symphony experience was held at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital and presented by the Jackson Symphony and Kirkland Center for Music Excellence.
The gathering featured entertainment, crafts and special appearances by Ray Taulbee, a narrator, and the birthday unicorn. The concert is sensory-friendly and designed for young children and special needs audiences.
Bob Singleton, the composer, also wrote the story and narration for the concert.
“It’s been just a wonderful experience to create things that actually connect with kids and connect with the family too,” said Singleton.
For those interested, The Unicorn’s Birthday is also happening at The Ned in downtown Jackson Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m.
