Mother charged in connection to daughter’s death
SPENCER, Tenn. (AP) – A Tennessee mother has been charged with abuse and neglect in connection to the death of her 3-year-old daughter.
WTVC-TV (http://bit.ly/16IyCr7 ) reports a Van Buren County grand jury indicted 22-year-old Samantha Brymer-Armstrong on Tuesday. The charges come in connection to the March death of her daughter, Kayleigh Armstrong, who was found unresponsive in a swimming pool at their home in Spencer. She died the next day.
Police say Brymer-Armstrong told investigators that Kayleigh was left unattended for more than an hour while she played video games in a back bedroom with headphones on.
It was unclear whether Brymer-Armstrong has an attorney.
