Local man faces multiple sex crime charges, some involving animals

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Tenn. — On Wednesday, March 19, 2025, after an extensive investigation by the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office, a Lauderdale County Grand Jury returned indictments on Joseph Lenderman consisting of fifty-two (52) counts including Rape of a Child, Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child, Solicitation of a Minor Under 13 to Observe Sexual Conduct, Aggravated Sexual Battery, Incest, Sexual Activity With Animals, Sexual Battery by an Authority Figure, Rape, Statutory Rape by an Authority Figure, Attempted Especially Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, Attempted Sexual Activity with an Animal, Solicitation of a Minor – Aggravated Sexual Battery, Attempted Aggravated Sexual Battery and Solicitation of a Minor to Observe Sexual Conduct.

“As the information provided is of public record, we must remember and respect the children who are the victims of these investigations. This information provided will stand as an official statement as we let the judicial system do its duties and allow a family to heal,” said Sheriff Kelley.

Lenderman currently resides at the Lauderdale County Jail on a $2.25 million bond. All persons involved are considered innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
