A Cold Start Friday, Warmer Saturday, Severe Weather Sunday
Friday Morning Update
Good morning everyone on this Friday, March 21st.
Starting off a cold morning with lows in the upper 20s under clear skies. Patchy frost has developed and it is cold so take a coat heading out. A little warmer than yesterday was, once we get into the afternoon with highs in the lower 60s. Saturday will be a pleasant weather day but Sunday brings a severe weather chance.
We’ll warm quickly into the afternoon with highs in the lower 60s. Saturday looks really pleasant with lows starting in the lower 40s and highs around the 70 mark.
Sunday will bring some showers in the morning followed by potential severe storms by the late afternoon. Right now the general time window for potential severe weather is between 4 and 9 pm. A few showers will likely work in as early as Sunday morning and most of Sunday looks to be cloudy and rainy.
The main threat will be hail and damaging wind gusts. The factors needed for a tornado will be fairly low so the threat is low but not zero. After the storms move out Sunday night, Some pleasant weather will be with us Monday through Thursday of next week. Mostly sunny skies on Monday with the upper 60s. Lower 70s the rest of the work week.
We are in Spring which includes higher risks of severe weather and we’ll have another possible round on Sunday. Stay up to date online and on air with the StormTeam 7 Weather Team and WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News.
