Boys and Girls Club of Jackson celebrates new pavilion with ribbon cutting

JACKSON, Tenn. — A local nonprofit celebrates a new structure with a ribbon cutting.

The Boys and Girls Club of Jackson hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the construction of a large pavilion to replace a previous structure that was destroyed by a tornado in the early 2000’s.

This project was completed in its entirety through donated materials and labor.

The structure itself was provided by Blue Steel Manufacturing in Henderson, labor to erect the structure was completed by 3M Buildings that donated their time and skillset, and all electrical materials and supplies for the structure was donated by Jack Hornsby Electric in partnership with Kendall Electric.

“It’s just a blessing to be able to have something repaired to come back to fruition. It’s like the phoenix, right? So, something fell down and burned in the ashes, but it’s coming back up thankful to the donors in our community,” said Sabrina Anderson, CEO of the Boys and Girls Club of Jackson.

The Boys and Girls Club of Jackson is a nonprofit organization that offers after school and summer programs for young people, ages 5-18, in Madison & Haywood County communities.

All club programs are age appropriate and are designed to meet the needs of developing youth.
