Jackson police respond to bomb threat at Rodeway Inn
JACKSON, Tenn. — Around 6 p.m. Thursday, several first responders made their way to the Rodeway Inn on Hollywood Drive following reports of a bomb threat.
Our WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News team arrived on scene shortly after and noticed several people standing outside. We spoke to a few residents who said they were told to evacuate the premises until further notice.
A bomb squad unit and at least one K-9 was deployed. Jackson police and fire were also present.
Around 7:15 p.m., residents were seen returning to their rooms. We reached out to JPD who says the business was thoroughly searched and cleared. No bomb was found.
