Senator Marsha Blackburn talks West Tennessee storm damage

JACKSON, Tenn. — Senator Marsha Blackburn is reminding residents to be cautious with recent severe weather in West Tennessee.

Blackburn thanked President Trump for declaring a state of emergency.

She says FEMA is in the state working with TEMA.

If people are in need of help they should contact their local emergency management agency, their local county mayor, or sheriff’s office.

They can also reach out to TEMA and the governor’s office for more information on how to get help.

With debris and flooding impacting the area, Senator Blackburn says to keep children away from standing water and be careful of downed powerlines. For more information, click here.
