Highway 45 Accident Backs Up Traffic

WEST JACKSON — A wreck that involved two cars colliding backed up traffic on the Highway 45 bypass in Jackson. The crash happened around 8:45 Thursday morning in front of St. Mary’s Catholic School. Crews shut down both southbound lanes of traffic while workers cleared debris out of the road. Officers say one person went to the hospital with injuries. Police weren’t sure about the extent of her injuries.
