Crockett Co. residents deal with flooded areas

CROCKETT CO., Tenn.—Following Saturday’s storms and heavy rains comes another weather-related problem.

People who live in Crockett county are dealing with flooding.

Our crews went to this location near Gadsden where the heavy rains caused flooding in this area.

One resident we spoke with says she has nothing but flood waters as far as the eye can see.

“We are completely land-locked. We can’t’ get out. No one can get out. No one can get in, we’re stuck as you can tell. We have lakefront property, who knew?” said Duffy Minges, Crockett Co. resident.

Minges said the floodwaters came up quickly.

“Oh it came up fast…very fast.. I mean it started Wednesday night. When we came back from the storm shelter at North Gate Storage in Jackson, it was already starting to flood on 152 and it just got progressively worse,” adds Minges.

All residents can do now is wait for the flooding to recede.
