Jackson Fire Department clears flooded subdivision

JACKSON, Tenn. —  The Jackson Fire Department was hard at work cleaning up a local neighborhood Sunday.

According to the post by JFD, on April 6, Jackson Public works director Austin Clark requested assistance from Fire Chief Don Friddle in the Doe Valley and Bear Trace area due to flooding.

They managed to pump over 1.2 million gallons of water from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday morning.

All roads are passable, and the drainage system has returned to its design capacity.
