Southern Pride president talks company’s history
JACKSON, Tenn. — Wednesday, we spoke with the president of Southern Pride, Jared Robertson, who shared the story of how his father and grandfather started the company out of a passion for making barbecue at their family restaurant.

Now, Southern Pride is a sponsor for the first ever “History of BBQ Museum” that opens this weekend in Kansas City, Missouri.
Southern Pride handcrafts a line of fully automatic, wood-burning gas-fired or electric smokers with nine different industrial models.
The company was founded in 1976.

“Thought it would be a good place for us to try to support and partner with, and so we reached out to them, and they’ve been selective with the folks that they want to bring in that it was a perfect match, and we are excited about the opportunity to help them and spread the word for ourselves.”
Southern Pride has sold more than 25,000 smokers, including domestic and international sales.
