Man injured in north Jackson shooting

JACKSON, Tenn. — A man was injured in a shooting Tuesday night on Brianfield Drive, according to Jackson police.

Police confirmed officers responded to the shooting around 8:30 p.m. The man was shot in the back, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

No suspect information was immediately available. Police say no one is in custody in connection with the shooting.
