Nonprofit ‘Hyundai Hope on Wheels’ aids in fight against pediatric cancer
JACKSON, Tenn. — Childhood cancer is the leading cause of death by disease among children in the United States.
Last year, nearly 15,000 children were diagnosed with cancer, and sadly more than 1,500 died from the disease.
One of the leaders in pediatric cancer research is the nonprofit ‘Hyundai Hope on Wheels.’
Since 1998, Hyundai Hope on Wheels has worked tirelessly to support the families, researchers, doctors and children affected by childhood cancer.
“One of the wonderful things is that the survival rate has gone to over 85%, and at Hyundai Hope on Wheels, we’re committed to funding pediatric cancer research grants until that reaches 100%,” said Kevin Reilly, board member for Hyundai Hope on Wheels.
This year, the organization plans to donate $27 million to children’s cancer research.
