Justice center hosts proclamation signing in support of sexual assault victims
LEXINGTON, Tenn. — It’s Sexual Assault Awareness Month and one county is spreading awareness.
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
Sexual Assault Awareness Month is a time for advocates, survivors, their loved ones and the community to come together to talk openly about sexual violence to support survivors, increase knowledge and awareness and identify strategies and resources to prevent sexual violence.
The Henderson County Family Justice Center came together at the Beech Lake pavilion to support survivors of sexual assault with a proclamation. Teal is the official color of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
And the teal ribbon is the symbol of sexual violence prevention.
