Ribbon cutting held for new men’s dorm at Aspell Recovery

JACKSON, Tenn. — A local addiction treatment center celebrates a special milestone.

An open house and ribbon cutting was held Friday for the newest Creating Homes Initiative House on Aspell’s Jackson campus.

The new 16-bed men’s dorm, funded through the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, will play a vital role in supporting those on their recovery journey.

This expansion furthers their mission to provide long-term recovery housing for individuals in need of safe and affordable living options.

“The longer they receive services and support, the better chance they stay sober longer and that’s, that’s what we want. We want long term recovery, long term sobriety, and we have it here in Jackson, and in Madison County. There’s a massive recovery community and they’re doing big things and we want people to know that they’re not alone,” said Lindsey Crowder, executive director for Aspell Recovery.

If you find yourself struggling with any type of substance, drugs, alcohol or other, you can contact Aspell Recovery at 731-427-7238 for a wealth of resources and area programs.
