Union University opens new writing center
JACKSON, Tenn. — A writing center is now up and running at a local university.
Union University celebrated the grand opening of the school’s new writing center Tuesday.
The writing center is located in the space formerly occupied by a former library along the main hallway. The center will now be a place for students to meet with tutors to enhance their writing skills.
Writing Center Assistant Director Aaron Beasley says every part of the new center was designed with student success in mind.
“We’ve thought about that from the paint color, to the firmness of the chairs, to what we’re putting on the walls, so everything has been intentionally picked to help that process go smoothly,” Beasley said.
Any students that would like to take advantage of this new center can make an appointment on the school’s website.
