Law enforcement agencies conduct sex offender compliance checks
MCNAIRY COUNTY, Tenn. – Members of the TBI Sex Offender Registry Unit assisted the McNairy County Sheriff’s Office, and the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force – Jackson team, in a sex offender compliance operation this week, named “Operation Zero”.
There were 42 offenders who were contacted, and 36 of those were determined to be compliant. Six were non-compliant, and were arrested.
Sex offender registry compliance check operations such as these are conducted periodically in various counties across the state. TBI assisted in 11 such operations in 2024, and the McNairy County compliance check is the fifth so far this year.
