Colder Weather Coming Back Midweek
Weather Update – 10:30 p.m. – Monday
Scattered showers and occasional thunder will continue to be possible until midnight, after which we’ll have a quieter night. Tomorrow should be a rather pleasant day but we’ll see a big change in our weather later this week with temperatures expected to top out at 15 degrees below the normal high on Wednesday and Thursday! Winter isn’t over yet.
TONIGHT
A cold front continues to make its way through West Tennessee this evening giving us one last round of scattered showers and a few thunderstorms. Rain should finally be completely gone after midnight with clear skies developing by the morning when temperatures reach the upper 30s. Spots of fog resulting in low visibility will be possible on Tuesday but should not be widespread or particularly dense.
It’ll be a sunny day overall on Tuesday with temperatures warming up to the lower and middle 60s. Expect it to be a windy day as well, especially during the afternoon, when winds could be gusting up to 30 miles per hour. These winds will continue into Wednesday with wind chills in the 20s Wednesday morning when a few flurries will be possible – especially in northwest Tennessee! We’ll remain mainly dry through the rest of the week with another cold front moving into the area between Friday night and Saturday morning.
