USJ students host project presentation, local leaders show support

JACKSON, Tenn. — Mrs. Dill’s English II Honors class at the University School of Jackson presented class projects Friday.

The premise behind the projects was to analyze and synthesize different literary works and apply them to real world issues.

For example, one project titled “Humanizing History” focused on showing details from World War II through diaries, audio recordings and photos.

“The fact that they put their own handprint on every single little thing, and everything was so meticulously designed, I could not be more proud,” said Mrs. Cari Dill, teacher.

Students were also in charge of reaching out to the community, resulting in Madison County Mayor AJ Massey and City of Jackson Mayor Scott Conger both attending Friday’s event.
