TBI issues Endangered Child Alert for Union City 7-year-old

UNION CITY, Tenn. — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has issued an Endangered Child Alert for Tah Yah Yona Chavez, who is missing from Union City.

According to the TBI, Chavez is 7 years old, 4′ tall and 55 lbs. She has black hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen with her non-custodial father, Jose Chavez, wearing a pink shirt and blue jeans. Jose Chavez is wanted on charges of Especially Aggravated Kidnapping and Custodial Interference.

The two were last seen in the 800 block of West Reelfoot in Union City around 7 p.m. on Sunday in a green 1998 Chevy S10 truck with TN TAG 433BPFB. Authorities say they may be traveling to North Carolina.
