Jackson Rotary Club announces scholarship recipients

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson Rotary Club announces its 2025 annual scholarship award recipients.

This is the club’s 27th year to present annual scholarship awards. Each of the scholarship recipients will receive $2,000 to be used at the college of their choice.

Every year, schools select one student per month for six months of the year to attend Jackson Rotary Club meetings as a junior rotarian.

The student attend rotary meetings and learn how rotary impacts the Jackson community and the world, while rotarians learn about the students, their accomplishments and their goals.

The Jackson Rotary Club selects one junior rotarian from each of the nine area high schools for the scholarship award.

“To be able to keep your grades up, and to possibly have a job, and to also be involved in athletics and all of the things you have to be involved in now in high school. there are so many clubs and ways to be engaged and it’s a lot to be able to do that, and then also do so many good things for your community just because you feel passionate about it,” said Greg Alexander, CEO and publisher of VIP Jackson Magazine.

The Jackson Rotary Club, Jackson’s oldest civic organization with over 100 members, has been serving the Jackson community for 108 years and meets in Clayton Hall at First United Methodist Church downtown each Wednesday.
