Nancy Ann Morrison

With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Nancy Ann Morrison, 64, of the Polk Station community. Nancy departed this life peacefully on Sunday morning, May 11, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held 6:00 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2025, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the service.

Friends and loved ones are invited to gather for visitation from 4:00 p.m. until the hour of services on Thursday, May 15, 2025.

Nancy was born on July 15, 1960, in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of the late Roy D. and Ann (Bodell) Spencer. She devoted her career to serving others as a dispatcher and communications training officer with Obion County Emergency Communications (911). Her calm voice and steady hand were a source of strength to many in times of crisis.

Outside of work, Nancy found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved Hallmark movies, sewing, and cooking – especially when it meant sharing a warm meal and laughter with family. Her faith was unwavering and she attended First Pentecostal Church of Union City.

Nancy’s greatest treasure was her family. She leaves behind two loving daughters, Jessica Beasley and husband Donnie of the Polk Station community and Christie Yeager of Union City. She was a proud and adoring grandmother to five grandchildren, Danille Durham and Michael Yeager, both of Union City, Destiny Vibbert and Carson Vibbert both of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, and Landon Poole of Martin.

She is also survived by two cherished sisters, RoseAnn Robbins and Mary Pruitt and husband Tommy all of Union City; and one dear brother, Robert Kopriva and wife Marilyn of Union City.

Nancy was also preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Duncan; and two brothers, Johnny Spencer and Larry Spencer.
