South Elementary kicks off its Field Day

PINSON, Tenn. — South Elementary School held their Field Day Tuesday with a “Touch-a-Truck” style event for students.

The Tennessee National Guard, Madison County Sheriff’s Office, and Madison County Fire Department were present to display vehicles. Plus, a Jackson Police Department helicopter landed and was also displayed.

Other activities included a bounce race station, basketball, bowling, an obstacle course and more.

“Field Day’s just a celebration of the year, the work that these teachers and students have put in, the staff have put in, and just kinda letting some energy out, you know, getting outside and enjoying the outdoors,” said Blake Scarbrough, P.E. teacher at South Elementary.

Scarbrough went on to thank the staff, students and admin of South Elementary for being the best.
