Ararat Baptist Church celebrates Memorial Day
JACKSON, Tenn.—One local church hosts a special picnic in honor of the upcoming holiday.
Ararat Baptist Church of Jackson celebrated Memorial Day with food, fellowship, and lots of fun.
The event was held from 3:30 until 5:30 Sunday evening at the church located at 3608 Brownsville Highway.
There were grilled hot dogs, live gospel music and also a special message from Veteran Bobby Russ.
The event was free but donations were welcomed to help maintain the Ararat Cemetery.
