JCS raises over $23,000 for St. Jude

JACKSON, Tenn. — One of our schools here in the Hub City put on a fundraiser for St. Jude.

Jackson Christian School’s Elementary and Early Learning Village hosted a Trike-A-Thon Monday morning.

Youngsters up to third grade were there to see how much money they had raised for the organization. The highest earner in each class got the chance to pie their teacher.

Last year’s Trike-A-Thon raised roughly $15,000. This year’s ended up raising more than $23,000.

ELV Director Mary Ramey shares more.

“We have lots of kids here who have gone through St. Jude. We actually have one close to home that we lost last year and so this really touches our heart every year,” said Ramey.

This was the third Trike-A-Thon at JCS and they plan to continue next year.
