Tree falls into Martin home after high winds move through the area

MARTIN, Tenn. — Severe weather also affected parts of northwest Tennessee Tuesday.

Our crew found a large tree that fell on a house along Panola Drive in Martin after high winds moved through the area. The tree crashed through part of the roof, severely damaging the house.

Utility crews had apparently been working in the area after we found evidence that limbs had been cut back to remove them from power lines.

We also found damage after a large tree fell onto a garage on Jenny Lane.

In fact, our crew found numerous trees down across several areas of town, along with downed power lines.
