Firefighters tap in to Beech Lake to contain fire

Yesterday at approximately 5:12 PM, 29 firefighters responded to a structure fire on Black Bottom Road.
Thanks to the quick action of our dedicated volunteers, the fire was rapidly contained.
Fortunately, the sole occupant was able to escape with only minor injuries.
This incident also highlights the effectiveness of rural water supply operations, as crews successfully drafted water from nearby Beech Lake to support firefighting efforts.
