Chickasaw State Park celebrates with Memorial Day activities
HENDERSON, Tenn.—The rain didn’t stop the fun at Chickasaw State Park this holiday weekend.
Chickasaw hosted several activities in celebration of Memorial Day.
Guests could rent a cabin, or enjoy some time out on the water in a kayak or paddle boat.
There was also the opportunity to meet two special reptiles. The park kingsnakes were available to view with rangers on hand to tell guests more details and answer questions.
The park also had craft activities available and a time set aside for patriotic ice cream.
“Tomorrow is kind of the big day. So, at 9 am they have a nature bingo hike . They’re doing a tic-tac-toe craft where you get to make your own air dry tic-tac-toe, and then patriotic ice cream. Make your own ice cream. It’s always a good time,” said Marhya Faulk, Park Ranger, Chickasaw State Park.
The fun is not over at Chickasaw State Park. Visit the park website here for more information.
