Martha Kirk
Martha was a dedicated employee at the former Troy Manufacturing for 18 years and later found joy in her role as a greeter at Wal Mart in Union City. Known for her love of conversation and humor, she also enjoyed fishing for catfish in the pond behind her home. She was a member of the former Evangel Temple Assembly of God.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Luther and her husband Mark of Troy, and Debra Crawford of Akoka; her grandsons, Cory Luther and his wife Carly of Troy, and Craig Finley and his wife Michelle of Memphis; as well as several nieces and nephews. Martha was preceded in death by her son, Timmy Glenn Kirk, her three sisters, Ruth Ferguson, Ellen Northam, and Mary Crozier, and her three brothers, Earl Edmaiston, Edward Edmaiston, and Charles Edmaiston.
Graveside services will be held at Fremont Cemetery on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Joe Thorne will officiate. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery as there will be no visitation. Arrangements are being handled by Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Pallbearers will include Cory Luther, Scott Northam, Tim Smith, Kurt Baggett, Kyle Baggett, and Allen Edmaiston. Harold Johnson, Martha’s neighbor and friend, will serve as honorary pallbearer.
