Steven Royce Bell
Steven Royce Bell, 67, of Stanton, Tennessee, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 26, 2025. Born on September 27, 1957, in Humboldt, Tennessee, Steve was known for his kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering love for his family and community.
He is survived by his devoted life partner, Wanda Alexander; his brother, Robert Bell (Danita); his children, Bradley Royce Bell (Leah), Whitney Butts (Daniel), and Erin Barnett (Jonathan); and his beloved grandchildren, Haley, Ryleigh, KK, Brayden, Wesley, Allye, and Avery. He also leaves behind his aunt, Paula Bell Bowman (Dennis) and nephews, Brandon Bell (Aubrey) and Matthew Bell (Cory).
Steve adored his grandchildren and treasured every moment with them. Their laughter brought him joy, their accomplishments filled him with pride, and simply being “Pops” was his greatest comfort. They were the light of his life.
He had a deep love for the Douglass Community and was always quick to lend a helping hand—frying fish at fundraisers, delivering sausage balls and banana pudding to neighbors, or brightening the day with his warm, heartwarming smile. Steve also took great pride in his role as a volunteer firefighter, serving with dedication and humility.
A private ceremony will be held at a later date to honor Steve’s wishes and spread his ashes. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Douglass Community Center in Stanton, TN, where he poured so much of his heart.
Steve’s legacy of kindness, love, and service lives on in all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
