Around 9:30 p.m. Friday, we received calls from our WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News tipsters after “Shaker’s Grab & Go” reportedly caught fire.
When we arrived on scene, the fire department had parts of the street blocked off. There was no immediate word on the cause of the fire.
We reached out to the local fire department and received the following information.
According to Luke Foster, Captain at City of Henderson Fire Department, the fire call came in around 9:24 p.m. Friday night and their units were on scene at the Shaker’s Grab & Go by 9:27 p.m. The fire caused a great deal of damage to the kitchen area of the business. Also one firefighter sustained minor injuries while fighting the fire. Luckily the surrounding buildings were not damaged. Foster says the cause of the fire is still under investigation at this time.
Shaker’s Grab & Go owners took to their Facebook page confirming the fire. They took a moment to also confirm plans to reopen but are unsure of a timeframe at this time. You can view that official post by clicking here.
