Mostly Dry With Hazy Sunshine This Weekend

Saturday Morning Update

Skies over west Tennessee are filled with smoke in the mid to upper levels due to distant fires over parts of Canada. Canada has had a very active season with over 160 wildfires and with the north flow, we are getting some of the smoke overhead. The northwest flow in the mid to upper levels is bringing the smoke right down into the southeast and midsouth today. While there will be some hazy skies at times into the weekend, The weather will stay dry for most of us. Catch the details on the weather below.

Smoke Ab 31

For today, mostly sunny with highs around 82 and light northwest winds 5 to 10 mph. Temperatures will be warmer, but it will be less humid which will feel pretty great with the breeze included today. Tonight, we can expect partly cloudy skies with lows around 62 and light west winds around 2 to 5 mph. A great day for a walk at the park or just getting outdoors.

Rain chances will remain flat today but we’ll see a slight chance tomorrow, mainly in the afternoon as a weak disturbance moves through the area. The greatest risk for a quick hit or miss storm will be in the northern counties, but being that this system is coming from the north, it will not contain much moisture with it and any shower or storm will be short lived with most of us not getting any rain over the next 5 days.
