Great Early Week Weather, Late Week Rain & Storm Chances Return
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update:

The streak of fantastic weather continued on our Monday with highs into the upper 80s to near 90° with mostly sunny skies. The winds were light most of the day and came out of the south. The humidity wasn’t bad at all for what we are used to, so overall it was a great day. The nice weather is expected to continue Monday night with mostly clear skies, calm winds and morning lows starting out in the mid 60s to kick off our Tuesday.

Expect another round of sunshine on Tuesday with highs again reaching the upper 80s to near 90° in the afternoon. The winds will again remain light and come out of the south. We are not expecting any rain on Tuesday and there will be just a few clouds moving in later during the day. Tuesday night will be mostly clear with night time lows only falling down to around 70°. The reason Tuesday night will be warmer than Monday night is because the dew point will be a bit higher as the humidity will be on the rise late Tuesday into Wednesday.

Wednesday is going to be a warm and humid day with highs reaching the upper 80s once again. The winds are expected to come out of the south and it will be a bit breezy at times but not bad at all. Although a few showers or a weak pop up storm or two cannot be ruled out, most of West Tennessee will stay dry on Wednesday. Expect a partly cloudy day with clouds increasing Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Wednesday night lows will drop down into the low 70s.
Rain chances get going for most of us this week on Thursday. As of now, chances for rain are 40% but that number is more likely to go up instead of down at this time. A cold front will approach the Mid South and will stall out for a few days. Depending on where the front stalls will determine who is most likely to see heavy rain and who is just going to be dodging pop up showers and storms. Thursday will be a mostly cloudy day with highs still in the mid to upper 80s. The winds will still come out of the south and Thursday night lows will drop into the low 70s.
Rain showers and storm chances appear to be a little higher on Friday than Thursday due to the approaching and stalled out cold front. Rain chances are 50% and the skies are expected to be mostly cloudy. Although some storms will be mixing in, the severe weather threat looks low with this system which is typical of a stalled out cold front. The winds will start to come out of the southwest making for a warm and humid day. Highs will reach the mid 80s on Friday and Friday night lows will fall down again into the low 70s.

THIS WEEKEND:
Unfortunately rain showers and storms are expected to pop up both days this weekend. Chances are at least 60% each day as of now. That stalled out front will continue to impact our weather leading to pop up showers and storms. Not everyone is going to get this weekend but chances are much higher that you will, than that you won’t. Highs will reach the low 80s this weekend and both days appear to be mostly cloudy. The winds this weekend will come out of the west or southwest all weekend long. Morning lows will hang around 70°. As of now, it is too early to tell which day this weekend will be the best one for outdoor activities, but the early thought is that neither day is looking too great if you want to avoid rain and storms.
