Local church kicks off summer with ‘Magnified’ Vacation Bible School

LEXINGTON, Tenn. — It’s Vacation Bible School season and one local church shows us what it’s like to be small but mighty.

First Baptist Church in Lexington is kicking off summer with Vacation Bible School. FBC began the program on June 2 and will continue until June 6.

This year’s theme is “Magnified.”

“We start out, we get them real fired up in the mornings, I get up there and fire them up. Then we have some other folks come in and we do music, we do crafts, we do recreation, you know, we give them a snack. The ultimate thing is they learn about God and learn about the truth of his word,” said John Bingham, head of evangelism for First Baptist Church.

VBS runs until Friday, but everyone can still join in on the fun. First Baptist Church is located on 50 Stanford Avenue in Lexington.
