Rangers Rescue Hiker In Smokies
Rangers in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park have found a young North Carolina man who had been missing.
Caleb McLoud Tutor of Fuquay-Varina, N.C., approached park visitors on Tuesday on Laurel Creek Road and asked for help, reported The Daily Times in Maryville.
Park spokesman Bob Miller said the 20-year-old Tutor told those he approached he had escaped from kidnappers.
The Wake County, N.C., Sheriff’s Office confirmed that rangers had found Tutor and that he had been missing since April 14.
The sheriff is investigating.
