Rose Hill Students Have Recital
Dance lovers of all ages filled the Carl Perkins Civic Center for a recital that has been a year in the making. More than 50 6th through 8th graders jumped, jived, and whaled the night away in downtown Jackson as part of Rose Hill Middle School’s annual dance recital. Hundreds of parent filled the stands as the students performed all forms of dance such as swing and ballet. Organizers said the event not only educates students on the evolution of dance, but also unites community members. “It’s nice to see the parents and the different communities that are represented in Jackson, all sitting together smiling laughing, getting along its just a good way to bring everyone in the community together,” said Paul Pillow, assistant principal of Rose Hill Middle School. Organizers said students that participated in the recital practiced countless hours since the first day of school.
