Breaking Barriers: Agencies present opportunities to Hardeman County community

BOLIVAR, Tenn. — Hardeman County and Helping Hands of Middle and West Tennessee partner together to inspire others to break barriers.

This event provided an inspiring presentation about a life-changing opportunity, plus access to valuable community resources such as dental pre-apprenticeship training, mental health workshops, strategies for emotional wellness, and supportive and engaging environment.

It also included the opportunity to meet community partners offering resources and support.

“For our workforce, this will be a great resource for us,” said Vickie Walton, Executive Director of the Hardeman County Chamber of Commerce. “So I just wanted to collaborate, because we are focusing on the workforce, and just helping our community get these skills. They are basically saying, ‘here! Here is an opportunity, take it.’ So I wanted our community, Hardeman County, to know about it.

Several of Helping Hands’ partner agencies were also on hand, including Skills Up, West TN Legal Services, SWHRA Head Start, and United Way of West TN valuable resources with our community.
