Lakelin Lemmings is the youngest artist to sign with Stone Country Records

JACKSON, Tenn.– One local singer celebrates a big accomplishment and a milestone.

Lakelin Lemmings is just 19-years-old and is the youngest artist signed to Stone  Country Records. A Henderson native,  Lemmings is already hopeful for what’s to come.

“I started performing in festivals and local gigs around West Tennessee at 6. Then I started going to Nashville at 12. So this has been a long time coming which is weird to stay at 19,” Lakelin Lemmings, singer with Stone Country Records.

Lemmings describes her music as country, dreamy, and feminine energy.

She is no stranger to the big stage and performing in the West Tennessee area and says she’s so grateful for this opportunity.

“It’s a dream come true. Very blessed, very fortunate. I don’t even know how to describe it, just very blessed for a small town girl to get to sign a record deal is a huge thing,” said Lemmings.

She hopes to work with Cody Nickles and Megan Rooney one day. Lemmings said her music is influenced by some well-known singers.

“My music is heavily influenced by like Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, Lee Ann Womack, and a little Carrie Underwood, and Miranda Lambert,” said Lemmings.

Her song “American Dreamin'” will release Friday, June 20th on all streaming platforms and she said it is perfect for the July 4th holiday.

She encourages everyone to pre-save her song.

“This song in particular is the story of my life. It talks about growing up in heartland and having big dreams. It kind of warns the world “Look out here I come” it’s really upbeat summer song,” said Lemmings.

Her hope is that the release of the song will be the beginning of her career.
“Hopefully, after releasing “American Dreamin'” it goes over well.  I’ll be able to do some festivals this summer and maybe book a tour this fall we shall see,” said Lemmings.
After interviewing and singing two songs for the record label, she knew she found a label that felt like home.
“I’ve heard what I need to hear. Ever since that meeting I call him “Papaw.” Benny Brown, I call him “Papaw Benny,” he’s amazing and they’re so supportive and they really want to make sure that they’re not trying to change me or anything like that,” said Lemmings.
She says you can stay up to date with her and her upcoming projects on her social media pages and her website.
