24th District Attorney General to join Tennessee District Attorneys General Conference Executive Committee
BENTON, CARROLL, DECATUR, HARDIN and HENRY COUNTIES, Tenn. (June 16, 2025) – Neil Thompson, 24th District Attorney General, has been elected by fellow members of the Tennessee District Attorneys General Conference (TNDAGC) to serve on the organization’s Executive Committee. In this position, Gen. Thompson will play a crucial role in guiding the overall administration of justice in Tennessee.
“I look forward to serving on the Executive Committee again this upcoming year,” said Gen. Thompson. “I consider it a great privilege to be able to work with the Conference to make our state a safer place to live.”
“The Executive Committee is at the heart of every decision we make in our work to improve public safety and provide for a more prompt and efficient administration of justice throughout this great state,” explained TNDAGC Executive Director, Stephen Crump. “I’m confident Gen. Thompson will uphold this responsibility admirably.”
Gen. Thompson was elected to serve as District Attorney General of the 24th District in 2022. Prior to his election, he built a successful private law practice, where he argued cases ranging from courts in the 24th Judicial District, the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals, and the Tennessee Supreme Court. While in law school, Gen. Thompson worked as a probation officer with the Board of Probation & Parole. He also serves on the TNDAGC Legislative, Justice, Finance, and Training Committees.
The Tennessee District Attorneys General Conference was created by the General Assembly in 1961 to provide for a more prompt and efficient administration of justice in the courts of the state. It is composed of the elected District Attorneys General from the state’s 32 judicial districts. www.tndagc.org
