Investigation underway after woman found dead in motel

PRESS RELEASE FROM THE DYERSBURG POLICE DEPARTMENT:

DYERSBURG, Tenn. —  Dyersburg police detectives are investigating the death of a 47-year-old woman found dead in a local motel Saturday afternoon.

DPD officers were notified about a deceased person by local emergency medical service workers, according to the police report. Officers arrived to find Jennifer Terry alone and lifeless in the room.

Officers informed detectives, who then started their investigation, according to the report.

Following a preliminary investigation and discussions with District Attorney Danny Goodman and Dyer County Medical Examiner Dr. Monique Casey-Bolden, Terry’s body was sent for autopsy.
