This year, three outstanding high school students from Jackson-Madison County have been selected to receive the award:

- Kaitlyn Ellis – Kaitlyn is also a graduate of Madison Academic High School and plans to attend The University of Tennessee at Knoxville and major in nursing. She aspires to become a certified registered nurse anesthetist specializing in obstetrics.
- Alexi Harrison – graduate from Home Life Academy and is attending Union University in the fall majoring in psychology and wants to focus on becoming a trauma therapist, specializing in early childhood intervention.
Each student will receive a $1,500 scholarship to support their higher education goals.
“The Leadership Jackson Alumni Association is proud to support and invest in the next generation of leaders,” said Donna Stines, alumni board president. “This scholarship not only honors the legacy of Judy Renshaw but also helps ensure that deserving students in our community have the resources to continue their leadership and academic journeys. We are excited to celebrate Boran, Kaitlyn, and Alexi and look forward to seeing all they will accomplish.”
The scholarship is made possible through alumni association dues and generous contributions from the community. Annually, a minimum of $1,000 is awarded to each recipient and paid directly to the college or university during the student’s freshman year.
In addition to the scholarship program, Leadership Jackson Alumni dues support several community initiatives, including quarterly alumni luncheons, professional development programs and Comfort Critters – stuffed animals distributed by emergency first responders to children in distress.
Established in 2014, the Judy Renshaw Scholarship honors Judy Renshaw, who dedicated over 35 years to developing Leadership Jackson, Leadership University, and the Leadership Jackson Alumni Association programs.
“Each year, I continue to be inspired by the talented young people selected for this scholarship,” said Judy Renshaw. “Their passion for learning, leadership, and service gives me great hope for the future of Jackson and beyond. It’s an honor to be part of something that helps launch these students into the next chapter of their lives.”
