A man is behind bars after being indicted for possession of a machine gun.
According to the U.S. Marshals Service, in December 2024, Chandler Black was arrested by the Tennessee Highway Patrol on state charges of DUI, possession of a handgun while intoxicated, and possession of a prohibited weapon.
“There was an indictment in federal court for Chandler Black who was indicted for the possession of a machine gun, and ATF and the U.S Marshals Service came here to execute an arrest warrant,” said Tyreece Miller, U.S. Marshal Western District.
The gun in question was a glock switch handgun. On June 18, law enforcement officers apprehended the suspect at his residence.
“This afternoon, we were able to take him into custody following a barricade situation. Once we identified ourselves, they did not immediately come outside, so we had to breach the door and make a forced entry, and we were able to take him into custody,” said Miller.

Officers found narcotics and three handguns inside the residence.
