Heaven’s Cradle hosts ‘Twilight Run’ in Jackson
JACKSON, Tenn. — Runners gathered at the starting line to help a good cause.
Thursday was the Heaven’s Cradle 5K Run and Downtown Rendezvous. The event was held in downtown Jackson at the West Tennessee Farmer’s Market.
Heaven’s Cradle provides assistance and comfort to families suffering from pregnancy and infant loss and staff training in perinatal grief.
“I have a big passion for this, my first daughter died at birth and that was in ’82 and there wasn’t an organization like this around to help. I know the suffering and the grief that parents go through so I think it’s very, very important,” said Denise Chung, event co-chair.
“Events like this are fantastic because it allows everybody to come together have an open conversation. No threats. Just everybody has gone through the same thing here and just love on each other,” said Johnathon Chung, event co-chair.
This year they raised at least $103,000. Heaven’s Cradle has a pickleball event coming up September 20 at Conger Park.
