Pedestrian ‘stable but critical’ after being struck in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Tenn. — A pedestrian is hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle in Lexington.

Just before 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, the Lexington Police Department shared on social media that an investigation into a “serious injury crash” was underway. The post stated that the incident involved a pedestrian and took place near the intersection of West Church Street and North Main Street.

Monday morning, we spoke with Lexington Police Chief Jeff Middleton, who confirmed the pedestrian was transported via air to Skyline Medical Center in Middle Tennessee. Chief Middleton stated the individual is currently in “stable but critical” condition.

No further details have been confirmed at this time, however Chief Middleton confirms an investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
