Hub City residents participate in nationwide protest
JACKSON, Tenn. — Residents gathered in the Hub City to share their opinion on recent political issues.
Earlier Thursday, outside the U.S. District Court building in Jackson, residents participated in a nationwide demonstration confronting the Trump administration’s recent detentions and deportations of immigrants.
There were around 20 participants, but more came to join in as the day went on.
The protest, referred to as #DisappearedInAmerica, is a national day of action led by a coalition of immigrant rights, faith, rule of law and pro-democracy organizations.
