Bin store offering low prices on items from top retailers
JACKSON, Tenn. — A unique store in Jackson has been open for a little while now.
MAC.BID is basically just a warehouse just off of North Highland Avenue. They buy returned and overstocked goods by the truckload from top retailers. This gives them a chance to sell products at extremely low prices.
“The best way to conceptualize the bin store is to think about it as essentially like a dollar store, but the inventory changes over every week and the prices change everyday,” said Kellen Campbell, President & Co-Founder of MAC.BID.
They get new product in on Saturday. So, this day is the most expensive with every item being $12. However, each day following, the prices get more and more cheap.
“That’s where you can find some really killer deals,” Campbell said. “If you’ve seen some of our other bin stores, there have been people who have found like crazy treasure hunts. They’ve found like Apple Airpods or something really expensive that they are getting for $12.”
You can also bid on items on their website. If you win one of the auctions, you can pick up your item at the Jackson location.
“Especially early on, and I would encourage all of the folks in Jackson to take heed of this, early on is the best time to bid and the best time to checkout the bin store,” Campbell said. “Because we’re still bidding out a customer base and a bidder base. So the stuff will go super, super cheap.”
They now have 30 locations including Jackson. They open their bin store each day at 10 a.m.
This location opened in May. The address is 2152 North Highland Avenue.
